Visit Britain

I have spent an interesting couple of months working on a series of short films for Visit Britain with National Geographic. The idea was right up my street: to show that you don’t have to travel far to find unexpected places and try things you have never done before.

A little adventure is better than no adventure at all.
The same goes for a little exercise every day. (I like the idea of Non Zero Days in general [Google it] for getting more productive all round.)
And I like any excuse to get out onto a river, any river, at any time.
A gentle morning’s paddle to get the blood flowing, to feel the fresh sting of winter on my face. I’ve paddled on the Stour before, in summer, and it was interesting to notice how different the same river felt in different seasons. Sure, the summer outing wins for fun and beauty. But if the choice is between doing nothing until the sunshine comes back, or just getting out there and doing stuff whatever the weather, then there’s surely only one winner’
