Shouting from the Shed – 55

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my latest shed ramblings. Thank you to all those who sent nice messages (try it – I love hearing from you: just click ‘reply’ 👍after my recent post about selling books. Even bigger thanks to all those who bought one 😂 or treated me to a virtual coffee.

My recent podcast interviews include ‘The right tree in the right place‘ and ‘I won’t regret not washing the kitchen floor more often‘. I’ve written a long piece about the daily routine of a ‘working adventurer’, welcomed a great spotted woodpecker to the bird feeders outside my shed window (do you know about the length of their tongues?!), and revived my enjoyment of wandering around taking photos.

How have you been keeping?

Rightio – here’s what I’d like to share with you this week… 👇

Cheers!

Isochronic Maps

My new love: isochronic maps that show different places you can get to in the same timeframe. You can make one yourself to plan adventures.

Is the Outdoors Truly Open?

Do you ever read about racism in the outdoors and think, ‘well, that can’t be right, nature doesn’t see colour’?

Outdoors Rocks

A well-curated collection of outdoor films, from Adventure to Wingsuits, via Bouldering, Biking, Wild Swimming or Wild Camping. Something for everyone.

Skidrow Marathon

When a criminal court judge starts a running club on LA’s notorious skid row and begins training a motley group of addicts and criminals to run marathons, lives begin to change. Fabulous film.

The Rebel Book Club

If you kind of like the idea of a Book Club, but don’t think they’re quite right for you (i.e. – me!), then you might be interested in the Rebel Book Club. Here’s a peek at the books they’ve chosen so far.
