  1. Hi Alastair, as a fairly regular reader of your newsletter and irregular listener to living adventurously, I though I might get in contact to see if you wanted to use my story on the podcast. I tries to juggle being a climber and the ‘normal life’ for about 15 years before crashing and burning out of my teaching career 17 years ago. At my lowest point it was a scratch expedition to climb Ama Dablam in Nepal that turned things around, despite/because of the challenges when the team fell apart, my partner got summit fever and headed off on his own with the tent…which led to me climbing the mountain solo. The turning point came down to a single decision on the mountain when I decided to carry on, and I’ve written about that in my chapter of the Biggest book of Yes, which is coming out at the start of August. We’re all being asked to promote it at the moment, so I’ve decided to contact you since I think you might be one of my most long-standing adventure inspirations. These days I’m an international Mountain Leader livign in the Alps, I gave up trying to juggle things and just went with it. Anyway – if you’d like to get in touch please do, if it doesn’t fit in, no worries – keep doing what you do, it matters!! cheers, Jason Day
