On a train

I hope that you have had an interesting, challenging year. I know that I have. And I am extremely grateful to everyone who has dipped into my blog this year to share some of my experiences.

These are some of the best bits from 2010.

Heading for the mountains with Phil Packer and Kate Silverton. Read about the trip here.

2010 was when I really began showcasing microadventures, such as this sea-kayaking one…

…and this mad week in the skies of Spain.

It was a busy year on the Speaking front. As well as speaking to thousands of school children and many corporate audiences I was delighted to be invited to address both the Army and the RAF.

I organised two ‘Night of Adventure’ charity evenings this year for Hope and Homes for Children. The next one will be on March 15th, 2011, so pencil that into your diaries now. Here is one of the talks I gave.

I did two pretty big trips this year. One to the Arctic

…and one to Iceland.

It’s been a good year. And I am excited about 2011. I have got some interesting ideas about how to make it a really worthwhile, challenging year. Here is a little teaser of one of the projects I am planning.

Happy New Year.
