I’mm looking for someone to do some work with me on a sort of freelance adventure editing basis.
It will be online based so it doesn’t matter where you live.
It initially will involve a lot of reading through my blog. After that, perhaps we can plan some joint projects that you find interesting.
You can devote as much or as little time per week to it as you like, though the next couple of months will require some concentrated involvement (perhaps 7 hours a week).
Depending upon where you live we will communicate by Skype, email, coffee etc. I will be sure to put aside enough time to help advise you with your own projects and plans.
If you get bored or hate me, you can stop whenever you want.
In return, I will…
- Pay you. (Though it will be minimum wage, so don’t do it for the money. Don’t do anything for the money.)
- Help you. (This should be more useful in your eyes than the money. This could be with planning adventures, writing books, learning photography, or all the other million things I am amazing at. [I couldn’t think of anything else which was why I wrote that sentence…])
Everything is flexible, so I’mll chat with whoever I pick to make sure we come up with a plan which is useful for both of us.

Well glad to hear it! I knew you were popular, but didn’t think you would get completely inundated with responses! (Well I was hoping you wouldn’t!) ;)

It was one of these days, I was sneaking some spotty wifi for a couple of minutes from the coffee place next to my van and found your job post! I copied the questions from your google form to answer them offline. Now that I got stable Internet again and wanted to copy them back, I had to realize that you took it offline. I understand that you received hundreds of applications and let’s be honest – the one that handed in their homework later than all the others never won the big prize. However, I want to give it a try. Is there any way to still send you my answers?

Hope you’re well.
I’ve followed you for a few years now, my dad introduced me to yourself (he’s a bigger follower than I am!) and has inspired me to take more of what you say on board.
I have travelled myself, been on many a micro adventure (although maybe not the kind you write of) and somehow ended up with a career in buying (working countless hours of unpaid overtime, unreachable goals, with an unmanageable workload). It’s stressful, I take it home with me every night, and it’s making me desperately unhappy. Today I handed my notice in with the thought in mind that time is more precious than money and wellbeing is more important than that. I’m twenty six with a passion for the outdoors, an office career is simply for me.
I’m scared but more than that I am excited. I’m hoping to travel again soon, in a year or so, and in the meantime earn a little to get me by, put towards the big adventure, get my teaching qualification, and fund a few short trips and microadventures in the meantime.
I saw this post just now and I’m so disappointed that I missed the opportunity to apply. I’ve just handed my notice in today, any chance I could still apply for the role or have you already made a decision?
