Just a quick thank you. I really liked your last Grand Adventures e-mail. You said to just buy everything on eBay if you can’t afford new stuff. Working at a supermarket while I finish my degree, I definitely can’t afford new stuff. So I followed your advice and today a very large box was delivered to me, containing a touring bike which I got for just over £200! It’s a wonderful thing. I’mm so happy with it.
My plan is to cycle from Bournemouth to Tokyo in 6 months and then fly back. A week ago this was all fantasy but now that I have “the beast” to take me there, the wheels are spinning and it’s definitely going to happen. So thanks for your e-mail. Cause and effect is a powerful thing.

How inspirational. I have always wanted to see Japan, but I never thought of doing it on the back of a bike.
eBay can be a great way to find things for cheap. I always go looking for used goods before buying something new.

I am inspired reading this! I have been in Japan 2 times but I never planned the way you made your tour. I am visiting Bali within couple of months and hopefully will be able to do sometime similar there.
