Every month I visit the Lake District to spend a day running in the hills. It’s good for the body, good for the head, good for the soul. I film the run and chat to myself about whatever feels important that day. This month: why I run (and why I think you should do too…).
This is sooo good. Sometime, I look forward to doing a Curry n Caves outing. I just need to get across an ocean!
THANKS FOR MOTIVATING ME WITH YOUR POST AND BENDING ME TO START RUNNING AGAIN
Hi Al, a great video :) Slightly off topic [I did search your site with no luck] what video editing software do you use?
Thanks!
I use FCPX.
What was the violin music on your vimeo video “40”? Thanks. Pat
Cool website I love running in the hills as well and have just signed up for the cape wrath ultra next may 18. Helps keep depression at bay!!!
This morning, a friend and I got up at 6 to run up a fell and skinny-dip in a tarn. We’re not ‘serious’ runners though; we’re laughing, chatting, messing-around runners. Running in the hills is when I’m most alive.
I just shared your video on fb and a friend messaged me with a poem, ‘The Song of the Ungirt Runners’ by Charles Hamilton Sorley that you should check out.
cheers
THANK YOU! The poem and the music are brilliant!
Just curious to know, what do you have in your backpack when you go on these running trips?
Camera gear and pork pies, mostly.
