Following on from my chat with baker Tom Herbert, this week I headed north for curry in a cave with Tomo Thompson, an outdoor guide, in order to ask him what motivates and inspires him about getting into the outdoors. Joining us was Gordon from Beerbods, the fabulous beer subscription service.

Was the curry as good in the cave as it is back on the streets? Now you have me hungry for some Dahl Curry for myself! I always loved small, short adventures… I think they’re so good for your health and your head (great way to dump stress from the week and feel like youre actually on vacation). But I didn’t realize, until I saw your site, that you’re actually the one that coined the term “microadventure.” That is awesome!
