This is the fourth year I’mve run a solstice microadventure challenge on my blog. I’mve noticed a very different response this year to the last couple of years. There have been more people than ever getting out into the wild, having microadventures and sharing their stories online. That’s fantastic to see. But there has been a smaller number of people specifically making plans to head out in response to my Microadventure Challenge. Hopefully this is a sign that the concept has gained enough traction for people just to be doing this stuff without me needing to urge or offer incentives. And, of course, loads of people are making their way through the Year of Microadventure Challenge and so the solstice was just another microadventure in a year of fun.

I see people sharing their microadventures online every day now (you can track the hashtag here) and these have been some of my favourites over the period of the solstice challenge. And rest assured I won’t be picking my own entry as a winner!

Then we made breakfast (porridge & coffee) and a farmer drove past us with sheepdogs which made us panic a bit but he was completely friendly Sunrises are my favourite part of wild camping.
