Time for a bit of Friday afternoon travel boasting. A chance to show off the most extreme places you have been to, the most northerly, easterly, southerly and westerly spots.
Go to Flickr, type in a place name, and hit ‘Search’. Click  ‘Sort’ —> ‘Interestingness’ to remove the rubbish, then copy and paste that URL into your answers in the comments.

Ooh, I love a bit of travel boasting! I’m slightly embarrassed though: I was going to come up with all sorts of places for the most northerly location but then discovered that Scotland is further north than Mongolia and most of Canada so my first answer is:
Most northerly place: Cromarty, Scotland.
Southerly and Easterly both come from the same country:

Most easterly place: Christchurch, NZ
Not very extreme for my most Westerly
Most westerly place: Mexico City
Most northerly place: Rookund ( Glacial Lake in Indian Himalayas)
Most southerly place: KL, Malaysia

Surprised to find that I was more west on the Golden Gate Bridge than on Easter Island in the middle of the Pacific.
If we include planes, none of the above would stand. On flights from the UK to California I pass over hours of beautiful arctic at latitude of maybe 70 or 75 at peak at a guess? On a flight from Auckland to Santiago I presumably went further south than Deer Park Heights, infact as I crossed the date line that one flight had my West, East and South records all at once. (Does it count as furthest “West” if you get there by going East?).
Anyway, cool stuff.

Easterly – Byron Bay out at the lighthouse that is the most Eastern point in Australia
