Jamie Andrew is the Scottish mountaineer who had his hands and feet amputated following a horrific accident in the French Alps. Miraculously, despite his handicap, Jamie has carried on with his mountaineering career and has made some amazing ascents all over the world, raising many thousands of pounds for charity along the way. His motto is – Remember, nothing is impossible!

Sad but inspiring story. Although I cannot see how you can do difficult rock climbs without any hands!? Also, this story worried me out a bit as I am going to the Alps for a few days next week and have done zero preparation.
Anyway, thanks for sharing your story.
Impressive … just impressive.
He has so much courage when others would just give up straight away.
Well done to him
Incredible! Very inspiring story… I don’t know if I would have been as strong there.
OK so I read lot of rock climbing books and have done basic level rock climbing myself many moons ago. I am simply not able to visualize how can one so disadvantaged be able to do rock climbing. It is an amazing feat.
