Holy Cow (I love your eyes?)

I’mve just arrived back in London. I had to return home from India earlier than planned, but it was still an excellent trip. I completed the walk as planned and I’mve got lots of material that I’mll be putting up on the site over the coming weeks.

The most exciting thing that’s happening at the moment though is that my friend Phil is doing the London marathon. Slowly learning to walk again after being paralysed last year in Iraq, Phil began the marathon with the other 35,000 competitors on Sunday morning. The only difference is that, 3 days after everyone else finished, Phil is still out on the course!
Walking with the aid of crutches Phil is trying to complete 2 miles of the route each day as part of his plan to raise £1million. He will finish his marathon Marathon in two weeks time. I look forward to joining him out on the course. Fantastic stuff.

Now I’mm heading out for a run. I anticipate that I will enjoy it because:

– I am not soaked with sweat before even beginning
– Nobody will beep their horn or stare at me
– I’mm not carrying a pack
– I’mll be done in an hour, and into the shower
– I won’t have to eat curry afterwards

Ah – the small, fleeting pleasures of returning home.
